We all hold cultural and self-perceived limitations, but what if those limits are only a lie? What if, with the knowledge and wisdom to apply that knowledge, we would be able to live differently, more peacefully - powerfully - and courageously? My new project will be addressing all of this in detail with stories, insights, skills, and special guests. Watch for this!
These days I'm focused on three qualities as three significant elements in our mind that determine the quality of our life. I'm not referring to our wealth, or status, or even necessarily a state of ease all the time. I'm speaking about the "Knowledge" that we intentionally program into our mind in order to obtain these three elements in our daily life as a practice and thus available when we're in distress.
I talk about our Mind alot, because it's the only thing that is the most significant contributor to our suffering or lack of it. Our Mind is pre-programmed once we become of an age where we realize we have a life to live based on our Choices. Whether we make wise choices depends on the knowledge in our mind, and the life experience to transform it into wisdom.
There are other key elements that re important of our depth of Peace, Self-Empowerment, and Courage, but they all stem from the ability to be in right relationship to our mind. This requires seeking out the knowledge, the information that informs our abilities, our perspectives, our responses or reactions, our personal power or helplessness. We also experience fear, doubt, illness, and challenge. Yet what are our guiding principles, values, and skills to navigate life intentionally and effectively day by day and in times of great duress?
Intuition, Hope, Belief, Conscience, Presence, Brainwave, Perseverance, Vision, Determination- All these are important elements in our life when applied accurately and with wisdom. Courage requires more than operating on default, which most people do, living day to day with a "whatever" mentality, focused on how hard things are, or the easy way, or judgement and blame of those who are different. Many people who have comes through hard times judge others for their difficulties, rather than understanding that Kindness, Graciousness, and Love did not come through their challenges or they would not be judging others now.
The other evening I was headed to gather with a few friends. I didn't feel up to it and yet I pushed my self anyway since I've been very introverted lately and felt it could feel good. Halfway there my intuition told me to turn around. I chose to continue. Even though I've learned that my Intuition is 100% accurate all the time, I over rode it with a thought that I'd push on. I was very fortunate that when I arrived, the only trouble was that I had the wrong date, so no one was there. I had not honored my intuition and all kinds of danger could have been present.
Why did this happen? Because I allowed a thought process cause me to forget that I had evidence for years that my Intuition must be honored, for she is the most WIse and Knowing part of me. Even though I've honed this skill, I need to continue to be mindful of how we can lose our priorities and make unwise choices. This time it was a tiring inconvenience. However, there have been times in my life when not recognizing or honoring my intuition and wisdom was life changing and life threatening.
We all hold cultural and self-perceived limitations, but what if those limits are only a lie? What if, with the knowledge and wisdom to apply that knowledge, we would be able to live differently, more peacefully - powerfully - and courageously?
My new project will be addressing all of this in detail with stories, insights, skills, and experiences. Watch for this very soon!
