Hypnotherapy and Self-Hypnosis are safe, widely accepted, long established, and outstandingly effective approaches. Hypnosis helps you achieve the change you need by giving back the power and control over your mind and your lives, which is taken away by the spell of subconscious patterns. All religions, faith beliefs, and spiritual paths are honored.
The American Medical Association (AMA) approved the use of hypnosis as an appropriate therapeutic technique in 1958, and the American Psychiatric Association (APA) endorsed hypnosis seven years earlier, in 1951. Over the last 60+ years, the health and wellness fields have incorporated hypnosis as a highly successful adjunct tool for providing therapeutic support in many different areas.
Hypnotherapy is a safe and non-invasive method that gently allows brain waves to transition to a state that enables one to discern clarity, hear guidance, integrate emotions, and release stress and trauma. Through this work, clients find they are more fully able to live on purpose with conscious choice rather than be controlled by counterproductive subconsciously programmed reactions.
The reality is that we live in a form of waking hypnosis under several trances within our day when driving, from the effects of societal bias, social media, advertising, past programming, trauma, and more. I create a safe, comfortable, trusting space for clients to return to their center, the place within themselves where the mental static of 60,000 thoughts per day no longer cause confusion and sabotage.
Neuroscience tells us that when we imagine with all of our senses ourselves doing something or being specific ways, the same neurochemicals go through our body as though we are actually doing it. Hypnotherapy is a highly refined mechanism for detailed visualizations to be used as a potent tool so that new habits are created, physical and emotional healing can occur, and many aspects of our life can be transformed. In our work together, my clients learn to master their mind and discover how using intentional imagination and creative visualizations can actualize the changes they have been longing to make.
The mind and body are inseparable. Thoughts produce feelings, and feelings are lodged in the body. Repetition of this process creates subconscious patterns. Imagine how 60,000 thoughts per day impact all areas of our life when left unattended and unconscious.
Understanding, respecting, and harnessing this mind-body connection helps individuals live with intention, purpose, good health, empowerment, and success.
For my many clients who have worked with me in-person in Southern Oregon's Ashland, Grants Pass, Medford, and Bandon, sessions can presently be scheduled Tuesday and Fridays in my new Ashland office. Remember for that extra privacy and convenience, as well as continuity in working with me wherever I may be located, all sessions are very successful via live video zoom. Simply choose that option when scheduling.
Uses of Hypnosis:
Hypnotherapy is a highly effective tool at supporting the healing and management protocols of many medical conditions and diagnoses including cancer, diabetes, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, digestive disorders, and many more.I have specialized training for many medical conditions, pregnancy and birthing processes. Some cases show that even breech babies turn into the right position for birth with the use of hypnotherapy. Clients have traveled distances to work with me having completed many forms of infertility treatment without success.
I also teach Self-Hypnosis to reduce stress and anxiety in all areas of life including public speaking, to eliminate fears and phobias, to enhance sleep, ease pain, optimize peak performance, and much more. The uses of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy are wide and varied.
My clients learn how to refocus their mind and use their imagination as the powerful tool it is created to be in order to live life with the Lights On, instead of stumbling in the dark being controlled by counterproductive perceptions and habits, suffering from past trauma, and dreading life rather than embracing it.
The globally respected Mayo Clinic’s substantial article in April 2005 “Hypnosis in Contemporary Medicine,” lists a number of conditions in which they recommend the use of hypnosis. Please see below:
